Public Transport to Quincy Market / Faneuil Hall
Getting to Quincy Market by public transport is easy — Boston’s “T” subway system has 5 stations within walking distance. Which one you use depends on which line you’re on and whether you want the shortest walk or the most scenic route.
WHICH T STOP IS BEST FOR YOU?
Coming from the BLUE LINE → Aquarium Station (closest, 3-min walk)
Exit the station, head north on Atlantic Ave through Christopher Columbus Park along the waterfront. You’ll see Quincy Market directly ahead. Scenic and fast.
Coming from the ORANGE LINE → Haymarket Station (4-min walk) or State Street (6-min walk)
Haymarket drops you right at the historic open-air market stalls — walk through the food vendors and you’re at Quincy Market. State Street is a straight walk up the historic street.
Coming from the GREEN LINE → Government Center (B/C/D/E lines, 5-min walk) or Haymarket (D/E lines only)
Government Center: walk down Congress St past Boston’s City Hall, turn right onto the marketplace.
Coming from the RED LINE → Downtown Crossing (6-min walk) or Park Street (8-10 min scenic walk)
Downtown Crossing is your closest Red Line option. Park Street takes you through Boston Common and past historic Park Street Church — a beautiful approach on a nice day.
